Job Overview

Quest Global is seeking a Technical Manager to lead technical development activities and drive engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical proposals to customers and support sales campaigns
  • Conduct technical and deliverable reviews on work completed before delivery to customer
  • Monitor the technical health of work packages
  • Creation and maintain Standard Work and Work Instructions
  • Conduct service-specific training
  • Manage, update, and create training material. Support training initiatives as needed
  • Support root cause analyses and improvement actions
  • Leverage technical knowledge to support pilot projects and lead Technical Excellence Demonstrators
  • Support technical capability assessments of the team members in your service
  • Ensure the pool of technical reviewers is maintained for your program
  • Participate in international communities in your field and build industry network
  • Support hiring by conducting Technical interviews and training other technical interviewers

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements
  • Use CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications
  • Conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and prototyping activities
  • Analyze and evaluate designs for strength, durability, and performance
  • Lead cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers
  • Support production, testing, and validation of prototypes and final products
  • Continuously improve design processes and methodologies
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations
  • Mentor and train junior engineers
  • Represent the company in customer and industry meetings
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related technical field preferred but not required
  • 8-12 years of career experience
  • Experience in leading technical development activities
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in leading project presentations
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
