Underground Utilities Project Leader

We are looking for a qualified Senior Project Coordinator to join our organization, focusing on underground utilities initiatives related to water and sewer systems. This role will be crucial in managing both commercial and municipal projects, leading a team of project coordinators, and ensuring successful project planning, execution, and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the leadership team to strategize, implement, and finalize projects, including scheduling, resource distribution, and documentation.
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets while monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure quality assurance is upheld and perform necessary quality checks, addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Guarantee compliance with company and municipal standards during all field activities.
  • Support tracking of project expenditures, reviewing financial reports, and providing recommendations for cost control.
  • Maintain precise project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress updates.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues, developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct regular site evaluations to assess progress, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Supervise and mentor field teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Recognize training, equipment, and resource needs, communicating these to the Project Manager.
  • Manage the project closeout process effectively.
  • Address customer service inquiries and complaints as necessary.
  • Support the efficient operation of the pothole management process through additional assigned tasks.
  • Assist in managing progress payments for various project types.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced understanding of construction principles and practices is preferred.
  • Experience in managing field personnel and fostering client relationships.
  • Proven track record of excellence in jobsite safety.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to work under pressure while coordinating multiple activities and groups for optimal efficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity benchmarks.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
