About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Designer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting senior designers and project team members across various industries, including power generation, mining, oil and gas, and renewables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design disciplines to resolve physical design clashes within 3D models and review 3D models for completeness.
  • Travel to client facilities with experienced project team members to verify on-site physical design conditions.
  • Produce 2D structural drawing deliverables with attention to quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred.
  • CAD certificate required if non-degreed.
  • Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).
  • Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design.
  • Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design.
  • Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management.
