Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a faculty position in large animal reproduction at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the clinical, teaching, and research missions of the Section of Reproduction and Behavior and the Hofmann Center for Animal Reproduction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical service and teaching in large animal reproduction
  • Contribute to the research mission of the Section and the Hofmann Center
  • Develop and implement educational programs for students and residents
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance the clinical and research missions of the Department
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD (or equivalent) degree and Diplomate status or eligibility for certification by the American College of Theriogenologists or the European College of Animal Reproduction
  • Strong clinical expertise in stallion reproduction, reproductive behavior, oocyte, and embryo biology
  • Experience in the application of assisted reproduction to the preservation of genetics of endangered species and breeds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in theriogenology or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students and residents
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
