Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to provide care and management of research and teaching animals at New Bolton Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of animals, as well as maintaining compliance with University and governmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and management of research and teaching animals, including monitoring housing, vaccinations, and hoof care.
  • Order animal transport services and consumable animal care supplies.
  • Monitor animal movement on campus and maintain census records.
  • Ensure compliance with University and governmental policies, and participate in regulatory agency inspections.
  • Perform facilities repair, upkeep, and operate farm equipment as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of large animal experience required.
  • Equine experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects above the shoulders and handle, catch, and restrain animals.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Special Requirements: Background check required after a conditional job offer is made.
