We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to large animal patients, including emergency and critical care, basic treatment plans, and assisting with research projects.
- Work closely with veterinarians and other veterinary technicians to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
- Assist with teaching and training of veterinary students and residents.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
- Participate in cross-training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, or equivalent) or graduate of an accredited veterinary technology program and eligible for sitting the boards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more and stand for long periods.
This position is located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and requires the ability to work in a high-noise environment with exposure to chemicals, outdoor weather, and moving machinery.
