Job Overview

Arakyta LLC is in search of a dedicated Technical Systems Specialist to support our operations. This role involves strategically addressing client service challenges with a hands-on approach. The Technical Systems Specialist will be expected to tackle complex technical problems while aligning with client expectations. We seek a meticulous individual with a strong focus on managed services and exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with clients, providing desktop and user support as well as maintenance.
  • Assess and escalate IT issues to appropriate technical tiers.
  • Provide training to computer users.
  • Install, modify, and repair hardware and software components.
  • Enhance and maintain existing cloud-based services.
  • Oversee network implementations, migrations, and upgrades, including servers and security measures.
  • Update and modify client application programs as necessary.
  • Document all processes and actions taken.
  • Adhere to established methodologies and procedures.

Required Skills:

Proficient knowledge in:

  • Windows Server operating systems from 2008 to 2016.
  • Operating systems including Windows 7 to Windows 10.
  • Networking technologies such as TCP/IP and DNS.
  • Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
  • Windows Exchange Server from 2007 to 2016.
  • VMware Virtualization technologies including vSphere and vCenter.
  • SharePoint from 2010 to 2016.
  • Storage arrays and SAN technologies.

Familiarity with:

  • Windows Terminal Server.
  • Microsoft SQL administration.
  • Backup management strategies.
  • Basic troubleshooting of Cisco switches and routers.
  • Networking concepts like VLANs and subnets.
  • Basic knowledge of FreeBSD and Linux systems.

Additional Competencies:

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while contributing to challenging projects.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer liaison.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing significant tasks.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving escalated support issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Willingness to work on-site with clients and lead projects to successful completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server query management, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, and SharePoint are preferred.
  • VMware and/or Cisco certifications are advantageous.
