Technical Systems Specialist

Arakyta LLC is in search of a dedicated Technical Systems Specialist to support our operations. This role involves strategically addressing client service challenges with a hands-on approach. The Technical Systems Specialist will be expected to tackle complex technical problems while aligning with client expectations. We seek a meticulous individual with a strong focus on managed services and exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with clients, providing desktop and user support as well as maintenance.
- Assess and escalate IT issues to appropriate technical tiers.
- Provide training to computer users.
- Install, modify, and repair hardware and software components.
- Enhance and maintain existing cloud-based services.
- Oversee network implementations, migrations, and upgrades, including servers and security measures.
- Update and modify client application programs as necessary.
- Document all processes and actions taken.
- Adhere to established methodologies and procedures.
Required Skills:
Proficient knowledge in:
- Windows Server operating systems from 2008 to 2016.
- Operating systems including Windows 7 to Windows 10.
- Networking technologies such as TCP/IP and DNS.
- Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
- Windows Exchange Server from 2007 to 2016.
- VMware Virtualization technologies including vSphere and vCenter.
- SharePoint from 2010 to 2016.
- Storage arrays and SAN technologies.
Familiarity with:
- Windows Terminal Server.
- Microsoft SQL administration.
- Backup management strategies.
- Basic troubleshooting of Cisco switches and routers.
- Networking concepts like VLANs and subnets.
- Basic knowledge of FreeBSD and Linux systems.
Additional Competencies:
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while contributing to challenging projects.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer liaison.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing significant tasks.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving escalated support issues.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Willingness to work on-site with clients and lead projects to successful completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server query management, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, and SharePoint are preferred.
- VMware and/or Cisco certifications are advantageous.
