Job Summary

As a key member of the Kaiser Permanente team, the Director of Operations, Oncology & Infusion will play a critical role in developing and implementing clinical programs and strategies that drive high-quality, cost-effective care for our members. This leadership position requires a strong understanding of ambulatory care practices, operations, and regulatory standards, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and strategies that meet or exceed cost, quality, clinical, and utilization standards.
  • Lead workgroups in partnership with operations leadership and medical group partners to direct the continuous improvement of all clinical practices, services, and operations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other healthcare providers to establish, implement, and maintain patient care, quality, and service standards.
  • Act as a patient advocate, resolving patient care issues and ensuring that services meet member, physician, and internal client needs.
  • Design and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care results across multiple departments and the continuum of care.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and education for patient care, and operationalize measures of compliance with those guidelines.
  • Direct the management of financial plans, resources, and budgets, and determine the appropriate staff mix for multiple departments.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and business objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum four (4) years of relevant healthcare management experience, specifically in managing clinical services in a complex, multi-faceted healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with a large physician group practice managing through influence and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of ambulatory care practices, operations, and local, state, and federal regulatory standards.
