Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Financial Counseling team at Providence Health & Services. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and set standards for financial assistance and financial counseling programs across the organization.
  • Develop and execute plans for financial assistance, including proactive internal auditing to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Lead and participate in innovation and automation efforts to improve caregiver workflow and patient experience.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement financial assistance policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance team by ensuring staffing levels meet budget, all staff are fully trained and empowered to achieve performance and quality targets.
  • Participate in state-led work groups on charity law and compliance.
  • Oversee departmental budgets and develop system Charity Care/Financial Assistance policies, procedures, and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in General or equivalent education/experience.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in revenue cycle leadership.
  • 5 or more years of experience in financial assistance and financial counseling operations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations and third-party contracts pertaining to healthcare reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to collection processes and procedures.
