Job Title: Vice President of Operations

Job Summary:

Mackenzie Stuart is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead our roofing operations and drive excellence across our product lines. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive operational strategies, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and direction to cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve workflows, and enhance productivity across the entire roofing product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, efficient inventory management, and effective distribution of roofing products to meet customer demands.
  • Establish and uphold rigorous quality standards for roofing products, working closely with Quality Control teams to ensure products meet or exceed industry regulations and customer expectations.
  • Oversee operational budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining a high level of product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and partners to negotiate favorable terms, ensure reliable service, and drive mutual growth opportunities.
  • Utilize data and key performance indicators to assess operational performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines in all operational activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • At least [X] years of progressive leadership experience in the Building Materials industry, with a specific focus on Roofing products.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, process optimization, and supply chain management.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and utilizing technology to drive operational efficiency.
