Who You Are
You are a dedicated software engineer with a strong history of developing and deploying models that solve real-world challenges. Your expertise includes:
- Model Customization for Specific Problems: Proficient in modifying neural network structures such as GANs, Autoencoders, Attention Mechanisms, and Transformers, or creating innovative architectures to tackle unique challenges across various fields (e.g., natural language processing, computer vision, time series).
- Management of High-Dimensional Data: Skilled in navigating and extracting valuable insights from complex data environments, utilizing techniques like dimensionality reduction or specialized network designs.
- Expertise in NLP and LLM: Experience with models like BERT and GPT, enabling effective analysis of structured and unstructured text data. Developing custom production-level NLP models for tasks such as text generation or summarization is highly desirable.
- Innovative Development of Solutions: Capable of applying deep learning methodologies creatively to address intricate problems, often merging domain knowledge (from cybersecurity or other fields) with innovative thinking.
- Model Scalability and Efficiency: Proficient in crafting models suitable for diverse deployment environments, understanding the balance between model complexity and operational performance.
- Commitment to Continuous Learning: Dedicated to keeping up with the latest advancements in deep learning, consistently integrating new research and techniques into practical applications.
What You Will Do
In this position, you will confront some of the most pressing challenges faced by businesses today through:
- Model Development: Create and implement sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms aimed at addressing security challenges, including threat detection, anomaly identification, and risk evaluation.
- Model Training and Assessment: Oversee the training, validation, and refinement of machine learning models using contemporary techniques and libraries. Establish and monitor security-specific performance metrics.
- Solution Engineering: Develop resilient software systems to integrate, deploy, and sustain advanced machine learning models in production settings. This encompasses the creation and optimization of software frameworks, ensuring smooth model integration, and conducting thorough testing to uphold high reliability and performance standards.
- Deployment Planning: Collaborate with software engineering teams to devise and execute deployment strategies for models within security systems, ensuring scalability, dependability, and efficiency.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Formulate an effective framework for machine learning and security operations, maintaining comprehensive documentation of models, data workflows, and security protocols.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python or R, along with familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- 2+ years of experience in developing machine learning systems and scalable solutions.
- BA/BS degree with 2+ years of experience or MS degree with 1+ year of experience as a machine learning engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex concepts to non-technical colleagues.
