Strategic Account Manager, US Global Selling

We are in search of a candidate with a strategic mindset and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, eager to create significant value for Amazon's global clientele. Our mission is straightforward: assist North American-based Amazon sellers in broadening their successful reach internationally through exceptional sales practices and advanced technical solutions. This position presents a unique opportunity to innovate, shape e-commerce strategies, and enhance the overall experience for merchants, sellers, and customers on a worldwide scale.

To excel in this role, one must possess the ability to analyze intricate data and make informed decisions with limited information. Building trust and influencing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including sellers and service providers, is vital. Striking a balance between operational excellence to ensure program success while adopting a visionary approach to develop long-term solutions across various product and program teams is essential. Effective documentation and review processes are also crucial for securing buy-in from leadership and teams. We are assembling a team that is passionate about retail and e-commerce, embraces uncertainty with a fast-paced and experimental mindset, and comprehends sales operations across different countries while engaging with leadership to prioritize resources and decisions.

Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is Europe, with key responsibilities including:

  1. Managing and expanding a portfolio of key accounts across over 9 EU marketplaces.
  2. Identifying and addressing bottlenecks or other customer experience opportunities within a complex European business environment.
  3. Maintaining regular communication with key internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Developing marketing strategies and support for regular and significant seasonal events.
  5. Analyzing data to create impactful business strategies.
  6. Building expertise across multiple domains through the management of concurrent business initiatives.

About the Team

We operate within US Global Sales, overseeing the complete business lifecycle of North American sellers expanding into 19 global marketplaces. Our mission is to make international selections as accessible and affordable as those available domestically. While North American sellers thrive in the US, their journey towards global expansion is just beginning. We are committed to simplifying international selling for US sellers, collaborating closely with them and both technical and non-technical partners in supply chain, compliance, logistics, and local teams. Our aim is to transform these Day One ambitions into global success stories.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or 3+ years in sales or marketing roles (such as e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS).
  2. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRMs (Salesforce), and other relevant systems.
  3. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets through a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.
  4. Experience influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, particularly at the executive level.
  5. Demonstrated experience in managing and growing large accounts, product marketing, or management consulting roles.
  6. Experience working within a cross-functional sales organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $132,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
