Position Overview: As a Silicon Validation Engineer, you will:

  • Leverage your silicon testing expertise to validate and qualify our D2D silicon test chips.
  • Enhance the hardware infrastructure for silicon validation and demo board platforms.
  • Assist in customer silicon bring-up and product qualification processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (MSEE preferred).
  • Demonstrate strong fundamentals in Electrical Engineering with a focus on digital and analog circuit design.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical testing and characterization of silicon test chips using Keysight and Tektronix equipment.
  • Work independently to debug complex tests and collaborate with design engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Utilize scripting and test automation skills in languages such as Python, Perl, and LabVIEW.
  • Understand fundamental data communication circuits, including amplifiers, phase-locked loops, and equalizers.
  • Independently conduct tests such as Tx output jitter measurements, receiver JTOL, and standard validation tests.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of oscilloscopes and BERTS.
  • Be familiar with concepts related to jitter, noise, and other circuit non-idealities.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational abilities to manage assigned tasks and regularly track and report progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in characterizing high-speed I/O and PHYs supporting protocols like DDR, Ethernet, PCIe, and USB.
  • Ability to develop firmware necessary for silicon validation and customer platforms.
  • Experience in PCB and package design.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard signal and power integrity tools.
  • Generate and maintain IBIS model generation for D2D products.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, VHDL, or other hardware description languages.

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is between $150,000 and $210,000, dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience.
