Hardware IC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Validate and qualify D2D silicon testchips using silicon test experience.
  2. Develop and evolve hardware infrastructure for silicon validation and demo board platforms.
  3. Support customer silicon bring up and product qualification.

Requirements:

  1. BS, MS in electrical engineering (MSEE preferred).
  2. Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals & coursework focused on digital & analog circuit design.
  3. 3+ years of hands-on electrical test & characterization of silicon testchips in a lab using Keysight and Tektronix equipment.
  4. Ability to work independently on debug of complex tests and interact with the design engineering teams to drive resolution.
  5. Experience scripting and developing test automation in languages such as Python, Perl, and Labview.
  6. Knowledge of fundamental datacomm circuits such as Amplifiers, Phase Locked Loops, and Equalizers.
  7. Capable of independently running tests such as Tx Output jitter measurements, Receiver JTOL, and common validation tests.
  8. Thorough knowledge of oscilloscopes and BERTS.
  9. Familiarity with concepts of Jitter, Noise, & other non-idealities in circuits.
  10. Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  11. Excellent organizational skills to own assigned tasks and track/report progress regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience characterizing high speed IO, and PHYs supporting protocols such as DDR, Ethernet, PCIe, USB.
  2. Develop Firmware required for silicon validation and customer platforms.
  3. PCB and package design experience.
  4. Fluent with industry standard signal and power integrity tools.
  5. Generate and maintain IBIS model generation for D2D products.
  6. Experience with Verilog, VHDL, or other hardware description languages.
