Position Title: Residential Support Staff
Reports To: Residential Manager

Position Summary:
The Residential Support Staff role is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This encompasses personal assistance and household support, while actively participating in the individual's care team.

Key Responsibilities:
General Duties:
1. Provide oversight to individuals based on their supervision requirements, needs, and personalized support plans.
2. Uphold confidentiality regarding all individuals and sensitive matters, including investigations of abuse and neglect.
3. Foster a secure and positive environment that caters to individual needs, self-expression, and aspirations.
4. Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other team members to create a harmonious atmosphere for individuals and serve as a model for community interactions.
5. Adhere to all guidelines outlined in the Individual Plan to guarantee quality support.
6. Engage in planning outings and activities tailored to the individuals in care.
7. Follow directives from supervisors or administrative personnel.

Training Requirements:
1. Complete all mandatory training within the initial 180 days of employment.
2. Fulfill all required training sessions annually or bi-annually before their due dates.
3. Acquire a DDS medication administration certification within the first 6 months of employment.
4. Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and other assigned appointments as necessary, with a minimum of two weeks' notice for mandatory gatherings.
5. Demonstrate exemplary work habits and routines to assist in training new employees.

Household Responsibilities:
1. Treat the individuals' residence with the utmost respect and care, recognizing it as their home.
2. Ensure all residential properties are maintained for cleanliness and safety, including:
    a. Daily vacuuming.
    b. Daily organization and tidiness of all areas.
    c. Nightly cleaning of bathrooms.
    d. Nightly washing and storing of dishes.
    e. Weekly changing of linens, or sooner if necessary.
    f. Disinfecting surfaces to reduce exposure to viruses and allergens.
