Job Overview

Position Summary

The Facilities Operations Manager is tasked with the comprehensive oversight and management of District and Project supervisors, along with individual locations. This role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction through the provision of exceptional service, delivered promptly and within the designated budgetary constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting and training hourly staff members.
  • Embracing and promoting the Company's Strategic Principles, Core Values, and People Culture.
  • Hiring personnel to ensure accounts are adequately staffed per contract requirements.
  • Delegating tasks to team members and evaluating their work for cleanliness and thoroughness.
  • Establishing work procedures and crafting schedules while adhering to the allocated labor budget.
  • Conducting orientations, safety training, and job-specific training to ensure staff can perform their duties efficiently and safely.
  • Preparing and reviewing necessary documentation, including time sheets, incident reports, new hire paperwork, employee training records, work orders, and supply orders.
  • Facilitating open communication by addressing employee relations issues and mentoring staff to foster success.
  • Building relationships with clients through regular account visits to guarantee the highest service quality.
  • Addressing issues and complaints promptly to maintain optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Documenting client interactions and concerns consistently, ensuring follow-up to resolve issues.
  • Monitoring assigned accounts for additional work opportunities and enhancements to existing contracts.
  • Completing and recording all mandatory Quality Control site assessments.
  • Spending time at various locations to support outcomes that meet client needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in business-level English, both verbal and written.
  • Two to three years of management experience in a related field, preferably within the janitorial sector.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • A strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Essential skills and knowledge for this role include:

  • Effective leadership, with the ability to inspire, train, and develop team members.
  • Expertise in carpet care and cleaning, floor maintenance, and operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Dependability, thoroughness, and the ability to work collaboratively while exercising sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in technology, including internet use, email, Word, and Excel, as well as the ability to leverage technology for recruitment and employee management.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Organizational skills, proven problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Willingness to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, depending on account needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may involve lifting objects up to 50 lbs., with frequent lifting or carrying of items weighing up to 25 lbs. Other physical demands include reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, writing, and visual tasks.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: A valid state driver's license is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, as significant travel between accounts is required. Reliable transportation is essential for travel to various locations within the assigned territory.

Additional Requirements:

A bachelor's degree is preferred. Four to five years of management experience in the janitorial industry is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with Microsoft and Google applications is required.
