The Team

We are looking for an Acquisitions Associate to become a part of American Tower's U.S. Tower divisions Asset Acquisition team within our Corporate Development and Portfolio Management organization. The Asset Acquisition team drives revenue and growth through the assessment and procurement of new and innovative assets. In this role, you will negotiate business terms for rooftop, ground, and other capital lease acquisitions.

As an Acquisitions Associate, you will collaborate across various functions to provide senior management with account updates and pipeline metric reporting.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Finance is preferred.
  • Experience in legal, structured settlements, business development, sales, and/or real estate is advantageous.
  • Approximately 25% travel may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Capability to work with diverse functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks within agreed timelines through effective prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Salesforce; ability to comprehend financial models and concepts.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Initiate, negotiate, and oversee real estate transactions to acquire new rooftop and ground assets, ensuring optimized operational and contractual rights to maximize future revenue opportunities. Manage and close a high volume of transactions annually.
  • Meet annual targets related to originations and closings within designated cycle times.
  • Prepare and present written and verbal offers/presentations to landowners.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and reports to management regarding the status of negotiations for revenue stream buyouts, easements, and land purchases.
  • Review proposed lease language and associated materials to identify issues; collaborate with relevant functional teams, including Legal Operations, to resolve them.
  • Oversee administrative aspects of closing transactions, including the execution of legal documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $65,000 to $90,000, varying based on experience.
