About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Specialist. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that every interaction is positive and memorable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, guiding customers through the car-buying process and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Conduct vehicle condition assessments, collecting and recording information to facilitate customer appraisals.
  • Check in and receive vehicles, completing daily scanning and reconciliation of vehicle inventory.
  • Perform cosmetic inspections, ensuring all vehicles meet CarMax Quality Standards.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including printing daily reports, maintaining transaction paperwork, and contacting finance companies.
  • Create service appointments and review repair order invoices for retail service work performed.

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Display confidence in self, the product, and CarMax.
  • Ability to balance the needs of the customer and the business when making decisions.
  • Seek to fully understand and meet customer needs, creating win-win solutions to customer issues.
  • Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment.
  • Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
