Interventional Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As an Electrophysiology Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the Electrophysiology Lab.
Key Responsibilities- Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for procedures, including sterile prep and draping, and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Radiographic Imaging: Obtain high-quality radiographic images using various types of equipment, including DSA and DA images.
- Procedure Assistance: Assist Interventional Radiologists and other specialists during complex procedures, including de-clotting of blood vessels, UFE, and venous ablations.
- Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care, including positioning patients for optimal imaging, explaining procedures to patients and families, and rounding on patients to ensure their needs are met.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other technologists, to ensure seamless patient care and efficient lab operations.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, image quality, and department operations.
- Education and Training: Provide instruction and direction to students and technologists in the performance of specific duties and procedures.
- Education: Must have attended an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology and be ARRT registered.
- Experience: Must have experience in interventional radiology, with a strong understanding of vascular anatomy and the ability to perform complex procedures.
- Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
