Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure support devices to perform procedures.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain quality films for radiologists.
  • Operate advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment, including CT scanners and MRI machines.
  • Assist radiologists with procedures, including basic and specialty procedures.
  • Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining patient records, answering phones, and scheduling examinations.
  • Coordinate quality control tasks, including checking film quality and ensuring proper labeling.
  • Provide instruction and orientation to new technologists and participate in performance reviews.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • IDNS license.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a general radiographer.
  • Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions:

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of technical skills and attention to detail.

This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with rotating shifts during the center's hours of operation. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
