Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of radiology principles and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure support devices to perform procedures.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain quality films.
  • Operate advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment, including CT scanners and MRI machines.
  • Assist radiologists with procedures, including specialty procedures requiring additional experience and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining patient records, answering phones, and scheduling examinations.
  • Coordinate quality control tasks, including checking film quality and ensuring proper labeling.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • IDNS license.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a general radiographer.
  • Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions:

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds, work rotating shifts, and be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
