Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team at CAMCO Property Management. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver Financial Statement packages for assigned portfolios of Condominiums and/or Homeowners Associations, adhering to quality standards and verifying information prior to submission.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, analyzing accounts for accuracy and correcting errors prior to the close of the accounting period.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger, reviewing periodic reports to ensure accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Research and analyze transactions from Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable, identifying and explaining variances and unexplained items on the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Prepare additional financial reports as requested by clients, including Excel budget worksheets and supporting schedules.
  • Assist independent CPA audit firms in their audit and review of associations, analyzing and posting end-of-year audit adjusting entries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, plus 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles, including skills in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks, with a self-motivated and detail-oriented approach.
Working Environment

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. The successful candidate will be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, and have good reasoning skills. The position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs.
