The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding Esker's market presence and achieving our ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expand client base by selling Invoice to Cash automation solutions within the territory
  • Network and ask for referrals, as well as do lead qualification
  • Use a defined sales methodology to qualify the sales opportunity, uncover various stakeholders, alternatives, internal processes, and budget/ROI requirements
  • Cross-sell new solutions into existing accounts
  • Travel to prospect meetings within the territory
  • Facilitate long-term contracts with new customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field OR equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of outside sales experience selling to enterprise accounts
  • Experience selling high-end software-based solutions including SaaS (Software as a Service)
  • Experience working with finance or executive level sponsors
Competencies
  • The ability, experience, and discipline to allocate time to prospect for new sales and not rely solely on leads from Marketing
  • Clear understanding of financial business processes (e.g., account receivable, cash application, deductions management, invoicing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of document delivery and business automation tools
  • Strong telephone skills coupled with a professional approach to customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of ERP solutions
Salary and Benefits

$115,000-130,000 + commission
