Job Description

The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University seeks a highly skilled and organized Student Support Coordinator to assist the Clinical Area Head and co-Directors of Clinical Training in the administration of the Clinical Psychology PhD program. The successful candidate will provide critical support to graduate students, faculty, and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative process for Clinical Specialization PhD students, including recruitment, retention, and degree progression.
  • Interact with diverse groups of ASU faculty, staff, students, and the general public to provide guidance on university, college, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collect and maintain student records, including academic and financial information, in accordance with University and Accreditation requirements.
  • Use PeopleSoft, ASU Dashboards, GPortal, Google Drive, Qualtrics, AppXtender, and internet-based programs to collect, interpret, and present data.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and admission of Clinical Specialization students, including managing applicant funding and drafting offer letters.
  • Provide support for co-DCTs in tracking student funding, course scheduling, and other information needed for Graduate Studies.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students, current students, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collect data for all Department, College, University, and national accreditation organization reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and three years of administrative/coordinate program experience, or Master's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and one year of administrative/coordinate program experience, or seven years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational practices, computerized student systems, and supervisory practices and principles.
  • Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of self and others, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and using Salesforce and PeopleSoft.
  • Experience working in Higher Education and using technology to manage admissions processes, compile applications, and prepare for interviews.
