Job Summary

Cherokee Country Club is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records, processing payroll-related journal entries, and coordinating with human resources on new hire paperwork and employee benefits deductions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and process payroll-related journal entries.
  • Coordinate with human resources on new hire paperwork and employee benefits deductions.
  • Prepare and mail/email member charges and statements and process monthly billings.
  • Reconcile payments on accounts and monitor delinquent accounts.
  • Respond to member billing inquiries and coordinate the resolution of member disputes with the appropriate department head and the member.
  • Assist supervisors with troubleshooting Paychex and review W-2s for year-end.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Experience processing payroll using Paychex is preferred.
Working Conditions

Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Moderate noise level in the work environment.
