Accounting Manager Job Description

We are working with a growing Software organization that is expanding throughout the United States

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes
  • Collaborate with financial team and other business partners
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required (MBA preferred)
  • Professional certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is a plus
  • Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • SaaS industry experience is a plus
