Production Operations Specialist

Location:

This role is responsible for overseeing and enhancing all operational process variables, ensuring that all production machinery functions at optimal reliability and efficiency, while systematically gathering and storing data.

Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be engaged in a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively supports Health, Environment, and Safety protocols by executing daily tasks within relevant regulations and policies, performing duties in an environmentally responsible manner, adhering to safe operating practices as outlined in the RBU Safe Practice Manual, maintaining a secure working environment, and being prepared to respond to any environmental or safety incidents.
  • Operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains oil and gas production systems.
  • Performs tasks associated with oil and gas production operations, including but not limited to plunger lift, rod pumping, flowing wells, and compressors.
  • Optimizes artificial lift systems.
  • Conducts well testing.
  • Collaborates with IOC.
  • Maintains records and inputs data.
  • Monitors computer control systems.
  • Tests safety mechanisms.
  • Operates and supervises SCADA systems.
  • Partners with colleagues and contractors to ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency.
  • Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System to generate work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization.
  • Ensures all tasks performed comply with Chevron's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes required regulatory tasks.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1-year relevant experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical sectors.

Willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays as per the assigned schedule, along with overtime based on workload.

Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean safety record.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of relevant experience in unconventional oil and gas operations.
Familiarity with reliability initiatives addressing various safety, environmental, and production-related concerns.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
Knowledge of pneumatic/electronic instrumentation.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, SCADA, and an aptitude for learning new software applications.
Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and both internal and external clients.
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.

Relocation Options:
Relocation benefits may be considered within Chevron's parameters.

International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance from the workplace or be willing to relocate and possess a valid driver's license.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Regulatory Disclosure for US Positions:
The compensation and benefits for this role are listed in compliance with applicable law. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $37.67. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
