Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Receive and store incoming items according to warehouse standards, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned area, including the yard and warehouse, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Reload route trucks promptly and safely, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Sort and store partial cases of products returned on route trucks, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Maintain records of daily checklists, including pre-trip inspections, to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, safety, audit, and food safety standards, ensuring a high level of quality and integrity in all aspects of the job.
  • May be required to work with production equipment and associated technologies, requiring a strong understanding of mechanical and technical principles.
  • Meet performance and productivity standards, consistently delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is essential for this role, as it requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older; 21 years or older if CDL Required
  • Pass the physical capabilities test (if applicable)
  • Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test
  • Valid CDL license (if required)
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable)

Desirable Experience:

  • Working in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with experience in team-oriented, deadline-driven, high-performance demands, and fast-paced environments.
  • Driving a forklift, with experience in performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, and maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product.
  • Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets, with experience in pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically.
  • Working with standards of operation, with experience in OSHA requirements on minimum/maximum speeds, signaling, putting products in appropriate areas, and other relevant regulations.
