Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Specialist to join our team at Archrock. As an Intermediate Operations Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gas compression and production equipment at field and plant locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Activities: Coordinate and perform operational activities and minor maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process/production equipment in a manner consistent with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Technical Resource: Act as a technical resource for more complex issues in assigned areas, providing guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Complete minor unit/facility maintenance independently and assist Field Service Technicians with major repairs, overhauls, or startup inspections.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate and proactively solve moderately complex problems using internal and external resources, identifying opportunities to enhance teamwork, efficiency, and quality.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, working effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Typically more than 2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Certifications: Successful completion of CPR-First Aid, Visible Emission Certifications and Observations, H2S Training, and other required trainings or specific requirements as applicable to the site or facility.
  • Skills: Proficiency in equipment maintenance, including cleaning, painting, lubricating, collecting oil samples, and adding fluids as directed. Ability to collect unit or process equipment gauge or display readings as required for reports.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed. Constantly required to display good manual dexterity and to reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to sit while driving or using a PC.
  • Travel: Extensive travel required, including driving and working in inclement weather for extended periods.
