Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Transportation Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless coordination of transportation logistics, contributing to our commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the logistics planning for customer orders, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to service expectations.
  • Oversee transportation coordination at designated facilities, utilizing various modes to optimize product delivery.
  • Engage with product management and production teams, as well as carriers and clients, to enhance logistics operations.
  • Serve as a communication bridge among truckers, customers, sales, and operational teams.
  • Analyze weekly reports to monitor cost management and maintain a minimum on-time delivery rate of 98%.
  • Address carrier-related issues promptly, ensuring timely communication regarding any potential delays.
  • Be available to resolve urgent transportation issues outside of regular hours.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred knowledge of the transportation sector.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with U.S. geography.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
