Job Title: Director, Talent Management and Organizational Development

Global Communities is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Talent Management and Organizational Development to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our talent management and organizational development strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement talent management and organizational development strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Partner with senior HR leadership to develop and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the design and implementation of succession planning and talent calibration processes to ensure business continuity and internal mobility.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to develop organizational competencies aligned to our mission and vision.
  • Develop and maintain policies, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to talent management and organizational development.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to supervisors on complex learning and development challenges.
  • Advise on partnerships with third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants as needed to complement existing service delivery.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to narrate learning impact and develop reports and other communication for broad organizational audiences.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of eight years of related experience or a minimum of 12 years of related work experience; Masters Degree preferred.
  • Ten years of experience in HR leadership with experience leading a Talent Management organization preferred.
  • Active Human Resources Certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR, CDR).
  • Ability to coach and develop others.
  • Deep knowledge of HR talent best practices and tools.
  • A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.
Location:

This role can be based in Silver Spring, MD; San Diego, CA; Ghana, Kenya, or Guatemala. Candidates must be authorized to work in their preferred country without any restriction.

This role is on a hybrid/telework schedule. The selected candidate is expected to work at least twice a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from either our San Diego or Silver Spring office and the remainder of the week from an approved remote location.

The estimated salary for this position is between $130,000-$150,000. Salary outside of the US will be based on market and location. Final salary will be based on several factors including qualifications, geographic location, experience, and internal equity. Global Communities provides a comprehensive benefits package; please note that this position is not eligible for allowances.
