Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer II to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex systems and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain system and software requirement documents
  • Perform file transfer activities as Data Transfer Agent
  • Configuration Control Board administration
  • Prepare documentation for release to customer
  • Update DOORS database per specifications
  • DOORS scripting using DXL
  • Develop and/or analyze and revise existing processes and procedures
  • Lab custodian responsibilities including maintaining applicable documentation regarding the Closed Area Access List and training authorized individuals to open/close the area

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • In absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required
  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS, Microsoft Office, IBM Rational Publishing Engine, and Dassault Systems Cameo
  • Experience in maintaining/updating customer deliverables
  • Existing DoD Security Clearance
  • Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines

The salary range for this role is $64,000 - $128,000 USD.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
