Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with contractual and corporate requirements
- Review and approve inputs and outputs from Software, Systems, and Integration & Test organizations
- Perform independent evaluations and risk assessments across the lifecycle
- Facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement with corrective actions
- Ensure integrity of the technical data package
- Identify, collect, and measure software quality attributes, metrics, and data
- Monitor and participate in test and release
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Education
- 8 years of Quality Experience (Assurance, or Compliance, or Engineering) or Engineering Experience
- Experience with root cause analysis of process issues, or debugging of software/system errors (bugs, failures, triage), and Corrective Action
- Experience with metrics identification, development, monitoring, and reporting (measurement, dashboards)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Quality Standards (ISO9001, AS9100, AS9115)
- Experience using a Quality Management System (QMS) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Experience with Integrated Development Environment (IDE) applications, modeling, databases (ClearCase, DOORS, RQM, Cameo, Rhapsody, Oracle, SAP)
- Experience using Agile processes (SCRUM teams, sprints / increments, stories / points, backlog / burndown), or Rapid Application Development, with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with DevSecOps Toolchains (Jira, Confluence, ADS, Jenkins, GitHub, Coverity, Cucumber, Selenium, Fortify, Grafana, JFrog Artifactory)
- Experience using Continuous Improvement methods (Six Sigma)
- Experience supporting Lifecycle phase and gate reviews
- Experience leading Strategic Initiatives of medium-size cross-functional teams and collaborating with Business and Technical stakeholders
- Experience being a Project Lead and coordinating planning, prioritization, execution, and escalation
- Certification in one of the following: Quality, SW Eng., Agile Methodology, Cyber / Info. Assurance, Systems Eng., or Project Mgmt.
