Print Buyer Specialist

AlignHR Oregon is seeking a seasoned Print Buyer to join their team. This position is responsible for procuring print and mail shop services, from initial confirmation of specs to project awards. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in commercial printing, knowledge of print terminology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure print and mail shop services, including bidding and project awards
- Review RFP matrices for technical and postal issues
- Prepare requests for quotes and compile bids
- Award projects to winning suppliers
- Research and qualify suppliers for the resource pool
- Research postal issues
- Obtain supplier delivery schedules and production timelines
- Provide departmental support as needed
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial printing
- Knowledge of print terminology and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, TEAMS, and Excel
- Expert organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to see and understand the full picture
- Unflappable in the face of changing project specs
- MAC experience with Adobe Creative Suite or QuarkExpress a plus
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
- Dependable, honest, and trustworthy
- Exceptional communication skills
