Job Purpose

The Ad Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring that businesses are charged a fair price for our products or services, allowing them to maximize their profits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly ad meetings with buyers to plan and coordinate promotions, including print ads, meat bonanzas, and seafood sales.
  • Prepare and coordinate ad materials for customers' meat, deli, and bakery departments, including receiving, pricing, and returning quantities to buyers and sales.
  • Collect and format vendor deals by quarter and forward them to customers by department.
  • Update weekly pricing formats for all required retail ad groups.
  • Host weekly Insight2Profit meetings and reviews with buyers to discuss pricing and promotions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have retail meat department management experience.
  • Must have knowledge of commodity and processed UPC'd fresh and frozen items.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and ability to determine solutions for customers.
  • Must be results-oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Some travel required, must have a valid driver's license.
