We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to real-world situations, solving complex problems related to climate change, regulatory requirements, and facility needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers, scientists, and technical professionals who serve clients across the world. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for performing hydrological calculations, completing hydraulic design calculations, and working with hydrological and water quality data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing hydrological calculations, including the use of hydrological models
  • Completing hydraulic design calculations for surface water infrastructure
  • Working with hydrological and water quality data, including the use of advanced statistics and machine learning
  • Performing water and mass balance calculations, including the use of simulation software
  • Assisting in the preparation of design drawings, calculation packages, and technical reports
  • Field work as needed, including collection of meteorological, flow, and water quality data
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Coursework in hydrology and hydraulic design (required)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required)
  • Experience with computer models, such as HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, GoldSim, and PHREEQC (preferred)
  • Experience with statistical analysis (preferred)
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R (preferred)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
