Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Water Resources Intern to join our team at Stantec. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to water supply, wastewater, and water resource management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and computer modeling of water resources systems
  • Data entry and assistance with preparation of construction plans and specifications
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders
  • Serving customers by completing indirect tasks such as transporting equipment/tools between job sites
  • Operating mathematical hydraulic modeling software tools
  • Assisting in the preparation of infrastructure master plans and design concept plans
  • Undertaking field work, including water quality sampling and surveying
  • Coordinating with engineers and technical staff to ensure project needs are met
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or graduated with a minimum of a four-year Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, including HydroCAD, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and GIS
  • Relevant office or field experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
