Senior Water Resources Engineer

Your Role

In this position, you will be instrumental in the design of drainage systems for intricate transportation initiatives. You will collaborate closely with various governmental entities, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards. This role also offers the chance to engage in prestigious projects employing innovative delivery methods such as Design-Build.

As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions.
  • Developing effective roadway drainage and stormwater management systems.
  • Implementing best practices for erosion control and sediment management.
  • Coordinating with regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits.
  • Performing hydraulic analyses for bridges and culverts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on hydrology or water resources.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management.
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong skills in Microstation, GEOPAK Drainage, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience collaborating with roadway design teams to ensure effective drainage solutions.
  • Ability to visualize spatial relationships and understand construction implications of design choices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
