Job Title: Shift Leader

Job Description:

Summary:

As a Shift Leader at our restaurant, you will play a key role in achieving operational goals, driving sales, and maintaining profit margins. You will be responsible for leading a team of hourly employees, ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise restaurant hourly team members on assigned shifts to ensure seamless execution of tasks and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in planning and supervising completion of all job task assignments, adhering to safety, food safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for hourly team members, utilizing company-provided training tools.
  • Collaborate with the management team to maintain restaurant equipment and facilities, reporting any needed repairs to the General Manager.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including register and safe audits, deposit of company funds, and proper accounting of restaurant funds.
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to guest complaints, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Attend regular store, market, and company meetings, training sessions, and stay current with all federal, state, and local certifications.
  • Recommend disciplinary action for hourly team members as needed.
  • Monitor the interior and exterior cleanliness of the restaurant at all times, initiating clean-up as necessary.

Education and/or Skills and Experience:

  • At least 6 months of restaurant experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to perceive and react to the needs of others.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read company instructions, orders on screen/receipts, and written materials.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a cash register.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must pass Shift/Team Leader training and be certified.
