Position Overview

Role Summary:

Newman University, a values-driven, Catholic liberal arts institution, is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to instruct courses within our Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program throughout the academic term. Candidates must possess a Doctorate degree as a minimum qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver courses aligned with academic qualifications.
  2. Provide timely feedback to students by returning graded assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  3. Submit mid-term and final grades via the designated system by required deadlines.
  4. Utilize Learning Management Systems, such as Canvas, and other relevant technologies.
  5. Report performance assessment data as needed.
  6. Consult with the Dean or Program Director regarding any concerns.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. A Doctoral degree is required.
  2. Experience in both online and in-person educational settings.
  3. Strong communication skills in both oral and written formats.
  4. Ability to make sound decisions based on judgment.
  5. Capability to build and maintain positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
  6. Experience working collaboratively with colleagues.
  7. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching.
  2. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  3. Proven success in collaborative decision-making environments.
