Residential Addiction Counselor

Position Title: Residential Substance Use Counselor
Overview:
Willamette Family is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Residential Substance Use Counselor to become an integral part of our residential clinical team. This position focuses on delivering addiction treatment to individuals within our residential program, ensuring that evidence-based and personalized treatment services are provided in a nurturing 24/7 environment.
Work Environment:

Position Type: Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $24.00/hour
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must possess a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II or higher) or a CADC I actively progressing towards CADC II certification within 6-12 months.
- Background Requirements: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to obtain credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA).

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Provide educational resources and culturally sensitive substance use services to clients, including assessments, progress discussions, and the development of individual plans and goals.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive client case management records and educational group notes in accordance with organizational policies.
- Collaboration: Work alongside WF staff and community partners to facilitate client care coordination.
- Professional Communication: Exhibit professional communication skills and foster a supportive environment, engaging clients in problem-solving and coping strategies.
- Crisis Management: Assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and provide support to clients and their families as necessary.

- Professional Boundaries: Uphold ethical boundaries and demonstrate effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Task Management: Efficiently manage multiple responsibilities and tasks during work hours.
