Our Recovery Support Specialists (RSS) are individuals who have personally experienced recovery from substance use or mental health challenges, or are family members of someone who has benefited from addiction treatment.
Under general supervision, RSS will engage directly with participants in Willamette Family's residential programs for men and women, assisting in the advancement of sobriety, independence, and personal empowerment. The RSS plays a crucial role in educating individuals about health promotion, which encompasses physical, mental, and social wellness, while also addressing barriers to recovery.

Recently, Willamette Family has achieved accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA), confirming our adherence to national standards for excellence in behavioral health care.
Compensation: $18+/ hr Based on experience, education, and certifications.

Employment Requirements:
- Criminal Background check conducted by the Department of Human Services Background Check Unit.
- Pre-Employment Drug Screening (Including THC).
Minimum Qualifications:
· Successful completion of OHA-approved training.
· Must be listed on the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker Registry or registered with MHACBO as CRM.
· A self-identified individual who has previously received addiction or mental health services and/or a self-identified individual in recovery from addiction.
· Familiarity with local community resources.
· Strong verbal, written, and computer skills.
· Availability to work some evenings and/or weekends.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with Willamette Family policy, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2.
· Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
· Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (including cannabis/THC).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Valid Oregon driver's license.
· Ability to drive for Willamette Family in accordance with company policy, which includes no infractions such as operating a vehicle during suspension, driving without a license, DUI, careless driving, or excessive moving violations in the past three years.
