Summary:

The Provider Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for managing the application processes for both new and existing healthcare providers, ensuring their enrollment or re-validation with various payers, including commercial and government entities. This role also involves updating provider information in internal systems and with external payers. In addition to data management, the coordinator maintains essential documentation such as licenses and certifications required for the enrollment process, oversees provider CAQH profiles, and verifies all information to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Regular updates are communicated to providers and the internal team through weekly reports. The decisions made in this role significantly influence the efficiency of the Enrollment department and may impact various organizational functions.

Additional Information:

Experience in medical administration is preferred.

Required Education:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; or four years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Description:

1. Manages the enrollment process and updates provider data in the MD Staff platform.

2. Ensures adherence to deadlines and enrollment timelines by tracking applications through all phases.

3. Engages with providers and payers through various communication channels.

4. Supports the transition to a paperless environment by centralizing provider data within software systems.

5. Maintains confidentiality and accountability for all enrollment documentation throughout the process.

6. Organizes and maintains an accurate database of physician information.

7. Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies during all enrollment activities.

8. Collaborates with internal departments, including Human Resources, legal, and billing, to streamline the enrollment process.

9. Proactively addresses and resolves any enrollment-related issues or discrepancies.

10. Prepares reports and documentation regarding physician enrollment as necessary.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
