Position Overview
We are looking for passionate and empathetic Behavioral Technicians to become part of our team. As an ABA Behavior Technician at Accel Therapies, you will be instrumental in executing tailored ABA therapy programs for individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities. Working under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and a Program Supervisor (PS), you will engage directly with clients to deliver personalized support and interventions aimed at achieving specific behavioral objectives.
This role is perfect for individuals pursuing careers in Clinical Psychology, Medicine, Social Work, or any Human Health Service who seek practical experience. It offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on exposure in delivering clinical behavioral health services without requiring an advanced degree or credential.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Interaction: Conduct one-on-one ABA therapy sessions with clients across various environments, including home, educational settings, and community locations, adhering to the behavior intervention strategies devised by the BCBA and PS.
- Data Management: Diligently document and maintain records of client progress, behavioral observations, and other pertinent information throughout therapy sessions.
- Behavioral Strategies: Apply behavior modification techniques and methods outlined in the personalized treatment plan to address challenging behaviors and foster skill acquisition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and effective monitoring of client progress.
- Ongoing Education: Participate in continuous training and meetings to remain informed about best practices in ABA therapy.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation are necessary.
- Prior experience as an ABA Therapist with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Experience in childcare is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality and professionalism consistently.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $20-25 based on experience, education, certifications, etc.
