We are seeking a highly skilled Special Projects Manager to join our team at Calculated Hire. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and facilitating the development, design, and implementation of special projects.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in organizational management, grants management, policy development, and staff development. They will be a visionary thinker who can drive change through an organization, building strong staff relationships and creating a positive work environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional writing experience. They will be detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to see projects through from beginning to end.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80-90K/year and a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. If you are a motivated and capable individual who is passionate about organizational excellence, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct project oversight for various organizational initiatives to assist in carrying out objectives.
  • Convene agency team members to plan, design, and implement key organizational initiatives.
  • Communicate project goals, status, and progress to key customers and agency teams.
  • Coordinate participation of work groups, individuals, and stakeholders.
  • Develop Special Project Management Plans and Implementation Plans as needed.
  • Provide operational assessments using external consultants and consulting service contracts.
  • Work with internal departments to implement and monitor budgets for assigned special projects.
  • Develop mechanisms to track project implementation and distribute project management reports.
  • Ensure project data goals are established, measured, and refined.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in organizational management, grants management, policy development, and staff development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional writing experience.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Highly motivated and capable of seeing projects through from beginning to end.
  • Good knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to prepare and present written and oral reports.
  • Ability to relate to a wide range of client populations and target their needs to project goals.
