Position Overview


The Senior Financial Analyst role is primarily tasked with bolstering the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function of the Brunswick Boat Group, alongside collaborating with accounting and various management teams.

This position necessitates cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, marketing, strategy, supply chain, and brand leaders to assess and enhance the profitability of the Boat Group.

The role will report to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and will engage with the President, CFO, and other senior management members of the Boat Group.

Key Responsibilities


A successful analyst will demonstrate financial expertise, partnership capabilities, and the potential for future leadership roles.

  • Execute essential FP&A processes including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Review and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance for the Boat Group.
  • Identify and analyze key drivers affecting the Category's P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
  • Generate monthly reports featuring key metrics and variance analysis that elucidate financial outcomes.
  • Model business scenarios and monitor performance metrics utilized by leaders for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to provide analytical support and performance tracking on significant initiatives, including cost-saving projects.
  • Employ data mining and problem-solving skills to analyze results, pinpoint opportunities, and propose solutions to management.
  • Assist in preparing mid-month and monthly business review presentations for Boat Group and Brunswick Senior Management.
  • Support the creation of presentations for the Board of Directors and Investor relations.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks to meet finance deliverables, project deadlines, and corporate requests in a timely manner.
  • Track and manage capital expenditures, including preparing financial analyses to support investment decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and lead special projects as assigned.
Qualifications


To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
  • Exceptional quantitative, written, presentation, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is preferred.
  • The ability to work independently while demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed during critical reporting periods.
  • A proactive approach and self-starter mentality.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to collaborate with leaders across finance and various functions.
  • Analytical capabilities to navigate ambiguous business situations.
  • Proficiency in accounting, financial analysis, and financial modeling.
  • The ability to conduct investment analyses related to capital, margin, and cash optimization decisions.
