Job Summary:
The Lead Custodial Supervisor oversees the custodial operations within a designated facility. This role involves managing a team of custodians and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance are upheld.
The extent of direct involvement in cleaning activities is determined by the number of custodians supervised and the specific service needs of the facility.
Starting Hourly Rate:
Grade 6A: $22.83 DOE
Work Day: 7.5 hours per day
Work Year: 12 months

Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal training.
- Physical fitness, strength, agility, and stamina to work on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform light to medium manual tasks such as digging, snow removal, and moving furniture safely.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in heavy industrial, hospital, or educational cleaning, with a focus on floor care (tile and carpet) and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Basic knowledge of minor building maintenance and familiarity with the ESSA negotiated agreement is essential.- Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and following written and oral instructions in English, along with basic math skills.
- Ability to prepare and maintain basic records and reports.- Basic computer skills for word processing and email are required.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, supervisors, building staff, students, and the public.
Depending on specific duties and work locations, a valid State of Alaska driver's license may be necessary.
