Job Title: Document Control Clerk

Turner Industries is a leading industrial contractor seeking a skilled Document Control Clerk to join our Project Controls Team in Baton Rouge, LA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and administering document management systems and related procedures to capture, retrieve, store, and share electronic records and documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and administer document management systems and related procedures
  • Capture, retrieve, store, and share electronic records and documents
  • Perform routine duties within established policies
  • Work under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager
Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of business machines, computers, and/or menu-driven applications
  • Proficiency in computer-based MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency in computer-based Google products (Drive, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to review/update processes/procedures
  • Good system integration and project management skills
Job Site Specific Requirements:
  • Oracle/EAM
  • SharePoint
  • Meridian
Functional Requirements:
  • Use client Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Perform basic clerical functions, including filing, copying, creating and binding reports, typing, and checking documentation, invoices, correspondence, etc.
  • Operate business machines, such as calculators, typewriters, computers, fax machines, scanners, and copiers, etc.
  • Receive and coordinate storage of packages, order and receive office supply deliveries, etc.
  • May answer, screen, and direct telephone calls
  • May compile and prepare various reports
  • May coordinate and process general administrative work, such as time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions, etc.
Compensation and Benefits:

Final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, ADD, voluntary life/ADD, disability benefits, leaves of absence, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, telehealth access, and employee assistance program.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to perform the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 15 to 30 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing/sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
