Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Document Controls Clerk to join our Project Controls Team in Baton Rouge, LA and be placed at a jobsite in Geismar or the surrounding area. This role will implement and administer document management systems and related procedures that capture, retrieve, store, and share electronic records and documents. Non-exempt role; Works under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience or equivalent combinations of experience and training in the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of business machines, computers and/or menu driven applications
  • Must be proficient in computer-based MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be proficient in computer-based Google products (Drive, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to review/update processes/procedures
  • Good system integration and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Use client Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; performs basic clerical functions including filing, copying, creating and binding reports, typing, and checking documentation, invoices, correspondence, etc.; proofreads documents, records and/or forms; operates business machines such as calculators, typewriters, computers, Fax machines, scanner, and copiers, etc.; receive and coordinate storage of packages, order and receive office supply deliveries, etc.; may answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; may compile and prepare various reports; may coordinate and process general
administrative work, for example, time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions, etc.; pick up employees, run errands and pick up mail both on and off site; may be asked to coordinate and process general administrative work, for example, time sheets and vacations; performs additional assignments as required


Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 15 to 30 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction
