Salary Range: $57,000-$80,000

Schultheis & Panettieri, a CPA firm with a focus on labor unions and associated benefit fund audits, is seeking Payroll Compliance Auditors to verify that employers are fulfilling their contribution obligations to benefit funds as per the relevant agreements. No prior auditing experience is necessary; we are willing to train suitable candidates. We encourage applications from payroll professionals, bookkeepers, data analysts, and recent graduates. Multiple positions are available across various office locations, providing a positive work environment and outstanding benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review payroll and associated records for accuracy and completeness, comparing them with pension and health fund data.
• Examine general ledgers and cash disbursement records.
• Liaise with employers to ensure all eligible participants receive their entitled benefits.
• Prepare various reports and schedules, and effectively communicate the findings to all relevant parties.

Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in Excel and database management.
• Basic understanding of payroll and tax documentation is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• A responsible team player who can also work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
